You’ve heard it before: "What’s your theory of change?" Funders, consultants, and other stakeholders often ask about theories of change, but there is much confusion over what this tool is and what it's supposed to accomplish. In an upcoming Impact Frontiers guest expert session, Michael Brown will introduce a framework for understanding both what a theory of change is and how different people interpret the concept in different ways. Attendees will leave the presentation with a better understanding of how to design, use, and communicate a theory of change.
Michael Brown is head of research at The ESG Initiative at the Wharton School, where his work focuses largely on impact investing. In addition to his position at Wharton, he maintains an active consulting practice and has worked with organizations such as Johnson & Johnson, Columbia University, and Ashoka.
