We are thrilled to have Bruno Roche join us this year for an exciting residency filled with inspiring events, from student club meetings and mentoring sessions to corporate roundtables and thought-provoking research discussions.

A visionary leader shaping the future of business for a just and sustainable world, Bruno Roche is not just another thought leader; he’s a pioneer reshaping the way businesses operate, with a bold vision to create a fairer and more sustainable economy.

As the founder of The Economics of Mutuality, Bruno has introduced a groundbreaking management approach that transforms companies at their core. Instead of profiting at the expense of society and the environment, this model enables businesses to thrive by solving the most urgent social and environmental issues facing our world today.

In a time when traditional business models prioritize maximizing profits for shareholders, often leaving broader societal needs as an afterthought, The Economics of Mutuality flips the script.

It starts by embedding the principles of fairness and mutual benefit directly into the heart of the value-creation process. The result? Greater impact for the environment, fairer wealth distribution, and long-term success for businesses—proof that a new, more just form of capitalism is not only possible but essential.

With over 15 years as Chief Economist at Mars, Incorporated, Bruno led the development of this innovative framework in collaboration with Oxford Saïd Business School, turning it into a movement that goes beyond corporate responsibility. Today, this vision has evolved into a public interest foundation backed by Mars, Incorporated, spreading its influence across industries and geographies.

Bruno co-founded centers for The Economics of Mutuality at top academic institutions like Oxford Saïd Business School (UK), CEIBS (China), and Rotterdam School of Management (Netherlands). His expertise, spanning applied mathematics, international economics, and management sciences, makes him a trusted advisor to global leaders, including the World Economic Forum and Boston Consulting Group.

In 2024, Bruno co-launched ONE Society, a movement dedicated to scaling the principles of mutuality beyond corporations to shape entire cities, regions, and even nations. The mission? To replace the outdated, purely transactional models of capitalism with a system that values and uplifts all stakeholders, laying the groundwork for a fairer and more just society—something the world needs now more than ever.

As co-editor, alongside Prof. Colin Mayer, of Putting Purpose into Practice: The Economics of Mutuality (Oxford University Press) and co-author of Completing Capitalism: Heal Business to Heal the World, Bruno offers a practical roadmap for businesses to adopt these revolutionary principles. His books, which have been translated into Chinese, showcase real-world case studies that prove the model’s effectiveness in driving both profit and positive impact.

Don’t miss your chance to connect with Bruno and learn how his vision for a fairer world can inspire change in your own work.
