Outlet: The Economic Times
Wharton Climate Center Faculty Co-Director Arthur van Benthem sat down with the Economic Times to discuss ESG reporting, sustainability metrics, and fossil fuels in the energy transition.

“There are all kinds of metrics, scorecards, dashboards and third party companies offering ESG reporting services — but it’s very difficult to compare ESG performance across industries.” shares van Benthem. “There is a push for standardised reporting in response to new disclosure regulations in the European Union (EU) and a similar ongoing process in the United States — hopefully, that will make it easier for investors to assess climate risks between firms on an apples to apples basis.”
